Thanksgiving
is the act of giving thanks, grateful acknowledge of benefits or favours,
especially to God. Giving thanks to God is not an optional. Thankfulness to God
for His love, care for us, and His provision for our salvation permeates both
Old and New Testaments.
Thankfulness
should flow naturally from the Christian who realizes the great gift of
salvation offered through the sacrifice of Jesus
Christ on the cross. Jesus
Christ suffered the penalty for what He did not deserve (all my sin), then
freely offered to me the reward (eternal life) that I did not deserve. What an
awesome God!

MIRACLES THROUGH PRAISE
If
you want to encounter Angels pray, but if you want to encounter God praise.
Every time we engage praise God come down.
Mysteries
behind praise
·
Praise
makes one more than a conquerors
·
When
you make praise your life style, God turn your life into a miracle life style.
·
Whenever
praise goes up, favour follows
·
To
maintain the miraculous, maintain praise.
·
Praise moves God.

Oh
give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the
peoples. (1 Chronicles 16:8)
O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His loving kindness is everlasting. (1 Chronicles 16:34)
Then say, "Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks to Thy holy name, And glory in Thy praise." (1 Chronicles 16:35)
"Now therefore, our God, we thank Thee, and praise Thy glorious name. (1 Chronicles 29:13)

And
they sang, praising and giving thanks to the LORD, saying, "For He is
good, for His loving kindness is upon Israel forever." And all the people
shouted with a great shout when they praised the LORD because the foundation of
the house of the LORD was laid. (Ezra 3:11)
Now at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought out the Levites from all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem so that they might celebrate the dedication with gladness, with hymns of thanksgiving and with songs to the accompaniment of cymbals, harps, and lyres. (Nehemiah 12:27)

Any
time you appropriate the act of God to yourselves it becomes a curse. To take
God for granted is
to be grounded. Jere 13:16; ingratitude is a
risk, a curse and a destroyer.
Examples of
Thankfulness
Jesus Christ is our perfect example of
thankfulness. When he multiplied the loaves of bread, he first looked to heaven
and thanked God for the bread (Luke 9:16). When he raised Lazarus from the dead
he thanked God in advance for answered prayer (John 11:41). We notice also that
at the Last Supper Jesus thanked God for the bread and wine (Luke 22:17,19),
which represented his body that was about to die. It is an amazing thing that
he would thank God for his own death in our behalf.
The apostle Paul constantly thanked God for many
things. First, he gave thanks for the gospel proclamation.
How thankful are you?
